Some interesting Websites

RANT

Found some websites that might be interesting to some of you.

First off, Ayanami Rei Compatibility Test. This is a strange one. Well, it's not that strange when you come to think about it. It basically asks you some questions and see how compatible you are with Ayanami Rei. As for me, I am 98% compatible o_0. Not a surprise to me since Rei is my ichiban favourite anime character.

Next, the Anime Quizzes - The "What [insert an anime title of your choice] character are you?" sort of questions. It's quite a treat.

This is not anime, but it's funny as. The Lord of the Ring, Chinese Engrish edition. Looks like the subtitle is done by some (one eyed) pirates and although Backstroke of the West is still my all-time favourite, this is just as funny.

October Purchase

RANT

Well, it's the end of the month again. So let's see what I've bought in October.

Region 1:
Sakura Wars OVA Collection
Slayers The Motion Picture

Region 4:

The Irresponsible Captain Tylor TV
The Irresponsible Captain Tylor OVA

About the same as last month. I wanted to get Sakura Wars OVA for so long, and now I finally got it. So I'm one happy man. This one is different from the one I bought in June. This collection contains Sakura Wars OVA 1, 2 and 3. And the one I got in June was just OVA 1. So now I have 2 copies of OVA 1.

I've also found out that ADV is releasing the entire Sakura Wars TV series on Thinpak in December. Now there are more reasons for me to buy things overseas.

As for Captain Tylor, I bought it because it was cheap. I have known about the series for some time, but it was only in my "Maybe worth a look" basket. So I wasn't planning to get any of them, until I saw the prices on them. They were at bargain prices. So I thought I might as well, and cross that off my long list of anime that I want to get.

On other news, Otsuka Ai's new album is due to be released in mid-December. The new title - Love Cook - continues with the pattern set out by her previous two albums, Love Punch and Love Jam. According CDJapan, Love Cook is going to come out in 3 flavours. One is the CD + DVD; there is also CD + picture book, and CD + photobook. Guess which one I'm going to get?
